Purpose of processing

The computer systems and software procedures used to operate this website acquire, during their normal operation, certain personal data whose transmission is implicit in the use of Internet communication protocols. This information is not collected to be associated with identified data subjects, but by its very nature could, through processing and association with data held by third parties, allow users to be identified. This category of data includes the IP addresses or domain names of the computers used by users who connect to the site, the URI (Uniform Resource Identifier) addresses of the requested resources, the time of the request, the method used to submit the request to the server, the size of the file obtained in response, the numerical code indicating the status of the response given by the server (successful, error) and other parameters relating to the user’s operating system and computer environment. These data are used for the sole purpose of obtaining anonymous statistical information on the use of the site and to check that it is functioning correctly, and they are deleted immediately after processing. The data could be used to determine liability in the event of hypothetical computer crimes against the site.

Legal basis for processing

The use of technical cookies is a process carried out in the legitimate interest of the Owner; the use of analytical cookies is carried out with the consent of the data subject.

Data recipients

The Data Controller does not disclose any personal identification data or information to third parties except, if necessary and to the extent strictly necessary, to those who act as suppliers for the provision of services relating to the management of the website and for the consequent management of the contractual relationship and related administrative requirements.

Types of Cookie

Cookies are pieces of information stored on your browser when you visit a website or use a social network with your PC, smartphone or tablet. Every cookie contains various data, such as the name of the server from which it comes, a numeric identifier, etc… Cookies may remain on your system for the duration of a session (i.e. until you close the browser that you are using to browse the web) or for long periods and may contain a unique identifier code.

Technical cookies.

Some cookies are used for computer authentication, session tracking and storing specific information about users who access a web page. These so-called technical cookies are often useful, because they can speed up browsing and use of the web, for example by facilitating certain procedures when you shop online, when you log in to restricted areas or when a website automatically recognises the language that you usually use. A particular type of cookie, known as Analytics cookies, is then used by website operators to collect information, in aggregate form, on the number of users and how they visit the site, and thus to compile general statistics on the service and its use.

Profiling cookies.

Other cookies may be used to monitor and profile users while they are browsing, to study their movements and habits when consulting the web or consuming (what they buy, what they read, etc.), and for the purpose of sending targeted and personalised service advertisements (so-called Behavioural Advertising). In this case, we are referring to profiling cookies. A web page may contain cookies from other sites and contained in various elements hosted on the page, such as advertising banners, images, videos, etc. These are called third-party cookies and are usually used for profiling purposes.

In view of the significant invasiveness that profiling cookies (especially third-party cookies) can have on users’ privacy, European and Italian law requires users to be adequately informed about their use and to give their valid consent to the placement of cookies on their device.

Cookies used

The site www.fiorentinialimentari.it uses cookies to make its services simpler and more efficient for the user who views the web pages. Users who access the site will receive very small amounts of information on their devices, whether computers or mobile devices, in the form of small text files, “cookies”, stored in the directories used by their browsers. The cookies used make it possible to:

– store browsing preferences,

– avoid re-entering the same information multiple times,

– analyse the use of services and content provided by the site to optimise the browsing experience.

The site uses Google Analytics. In this case, the information generated by the cookie about your use of the site is transmitted to Google Inc. and stored on its servers. These data recipients use this information for the purpose of producing reports on the site’s activities, intended for the Data Controller or parties appointed by it. You can refuse to provide browsing data by selecting the appropriate setting on your browser. In this regard, please refer to the guidelines published on the Google website https://www.google.it/intl/it/policies/privacy/ and the browser add-on for deactivating Google Analytics:

https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=it.

This choice, however, may prevent you from using the site’s full functionality. Conversely, by accepting the use of cookies as described above and continuing to browse, you are giving your free and unconditional consent to the processing of your personal data by the Committee and Google in the manner and for the purposes set out above. When the user clicks on the icons of Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Instagram, etc., he/she is directed to their respective sites and receives cookies from them which are not under the control of the Data Controller. Finally, if the user accesses the site after clicking on a banner published on another site, he/she must be aware that the advertising network manager has assigned cookies necessary to detect the throughput and the amount of any purchases made. The responsibility for the management of these cookies lies with the advertising network operator, whose policy can normally be consulted on its institutional website.
